"Aboard the Revel Rail29 I got to ride brutal technical descents, a couple of jump lines, lung-busting XC against former legends, big rock slabs, wet roots, smushy mud, wooden drops, and several miles of quiet Sussex roads on this thing, and never once wished I was on something different." With this statement as a conclusion for this review, we have a solid insight to believe the new Revel Rail 29 it's one of the best mountain bikes out there.

]]>Are you ready for some dark magic? Evil has released their eMTB, called the Epocalypse, and it's entering the public eye with all the spooky theatrics we've come to expect from the Washington brand.
]]>The new category of mullet or mixed wheels in enduro bikes have created extremely playful and capable bikes that delight those riders taking their riding to a more freeride / fun / slopestyle approach.
Transition Bikes has just released the new Patrol Carbon. The carbon version of the popular Patrol Alloy, while Evil Bikes has a renewed Insurgent in their line up. Both bikes share similar numbers in terms of head angle, effective seat tube angle and reach. But the difference comes in chain stays length. While the Patrol goes to 442mm, the Evil Insurgent stays in 432mm. This will make the Patrol a more "DH" feeling while the Insurgent will delight riders looking for an extremely playful machine, with the sacrifice of loosing some stability. We should not forget that the Evil Insurgent it's one of the few bikes in this segment that can be used as a total 27.5 machine.
Both bikes can be considered in the top of the MX Enduro bikes. Probably the best in their category?

There is not much info yet about the new Transition Relay, the materialization of Transition Bike ' s goal to have a mountain bike and an ebike in a single product, a bike that can provide both experiences without compromise.
The Transition Relay frame allows for 160 and 170mm travel, is compatible with dual 29 or mixed wheels, utilizes Transition ' s renowned SBG geometry, and is equipped with the impressive Fazua Ride60 system paired with a 430 Wh battery. “The mountain biker’s eBike”, is what they’re calling it, suggesting that the Transition Relay will deliver the best of both worlds; the motor assist of an eMTB, and the handling of a regular enduro bike.
The new Fazua Ride 60 system, it's a much smaller motor than a Shimano EP8 for instance, and delivers a maximum torque of just 60 Nm. A smaller, lighter motor, coupled with a smaller, lighter battery with a 430 Wh capacity, has resulted in an eBike they claim has almost the same range as the Transition Repeater.
Of course, that battery is removable so riders will be able to drop its (claimed) 2.3kg if and when they feel they have the legs to go unassisted.
There is not much more info yet , but we are super excited to share more about the Transition Relay and its story in the coming months. Keep your eyes peeled for chapter two this fall. Full product details and bikes available to purchase in spring of 2023!

"The Transition Spire manages to do one of the most basic and fundamental things a good mountain bike should do - it should make you smile, and it delivers in droves." Amazing climbing capabilities, extremely fast and fun on the descends, it's probably the most versatile Super Enduro Mountain bike ever built. No doubt it's a reference in today's saturated market, where once again, the "rider owned" spirit of Transition Bikes shines to create an extremely efficient weapon of choice for demanding riders.

Regarding the PNW Components Loam Dropper, MTBR believes that is stands out from the crowd of dropper seatposts with a great price, short stack height, and tool-free system to adjust the amount of seatpost drop. The travel of the Loam can be reduced by up to 30mm, in 5mm increments. If you need more adjustment than that, the Loam is offered in versions with 125, 150, and 200mm of adjustable seatpost drop.
On the other hand, "the OneUp's dropper post V2 is available in 120, 150, 180, and 210mm lengths and can all be shimmed down in travel by 10 or 20mm. The ability to fine-tune travel with the included travel shims, along with this post's category-leading low stack height (shortest total length per travel size), lets rider run the longest possible dropper for their saddle height. This is a huge advantage for shorter riders who want to run 150mm or even 180mm droppers on small and medium-sized frames. What else is there to like? Well, the price is really, really good."
